Re: Update 2.1.32

Thanks for checking on OSX! Could you please share what compiler you used? I've tried several different clang versions with no luck and just tried gcc-11 via homebrew and found a similar issue. I'm on OS X 10.15.6 too. I verified checksums between my linux install and osx install's endf70sab file to...

Re: Update 2.1.32

I tested the case (multiple times) with the same exact XS libraries - ENDF/VII.0 (‘.72c’ 900K and ‘.15t 800K) and both, Serpent 2.1.31 and 2.1.32 run just fine (with the same exact result). Note: from the debugger print-out, it seems you are, somehow, looking at other cross-section library: 1001.82...

Re: Update 2.1.32

Hello again, I think I found another issue on my end where a file works in 31 but not 32. This one is a lot more confusing to me so I'm hoping it's much less confusing for you all. I had a segfault and gdb didn't really help me.. When I run a case with thermal scattering endf7.0 using zr in zrh and/...

Re: Weight window mesh plot automatic limits by default

Oh very cool, today I learned about `-ip`. I'm not immediately sure how to convert from from required input to optional input, but for my needs I might throw in a hacky solution like --- a/src/geometryplotter.c +++ b/src/geometryplotter.c @@ -41,7 +41,7 @@ void GeometryPlotter(long ini) { #ifndef NO...

Weight window mesh plot automatic limits by default

Since serpent reads the weight windows and even prints min/max out to screen, could the importance coloring be automated? To be a bit clearer, using http://serpent.vtt.fi/mediawiki/index.php/Input_syntax_manual#plot_.28geometry_plot_definition.29 with the syntax plot `TYPE Fmin Fmax E XPIX YPIX [ PO...

Re: Update 2.1.32

Hi, Thanks again for the patch, it did work though I may have stumbled upon a similar issue in the src routine. This one is not blocking for me at all but I thought I would share it since it might be a bug of interest. The following simulation fails in 2.1.32 (patched) with: Source sampling failed b...

Re: Update 2.1.32

Wonderful! Thanks for checking that case, it’s much appreciated. Good to know it’s on my end now.

EDIT:
The patches applied were working, the default plot bounds needed to be adjusted in 32 but not 31, they produce similar results now. Thanks again Ana.

Re: Update 2.1.32

Hi Ana, thanks for looking into this. Were you able to make the sample input I sent plot showing 2 cylinders? I applied the latest patch you sent and the translation still appears to not work for me. With the translation not present, I see my 2 cylinders and can set detectors to calculate non-zero f...

Re: Update 2.1.32

The calculation proceeds but when visualizing I only see one cell, expecting 2 and I see 2 in 2.1.31. I also added `det` in each cell and the src as:

Code: Select all

src someSource sc 1 sc 2

det pin1 dc 1
det pin2 dc 2
and am not seeing any values in the pin1 cell which is the one that is rotating.
