In fact, I was able to go back to the original source so all I needed to change in the source was the added #define.

MCNP’s trc surface

Has anyone looked at recreating the MCNP truncated cone (trc) macro? I am translating an MCNP model of an experiment and would like to get a direct conversion on surfaces. I’m stumped on the trc surface.

Okay, that's the problem. I was going from the manual that suggested that I should use "set bc 2" and it would automatically turn the finite axial BC to black. Now I'm getting what I expected using "set bc 2 2 1".

I am trying to model a radially infinite axially finite core using Serpent 2.1.28. When I specify reflection I get the expected infinite lattice radially, but I am not getting black BCs on top and bottom. Universe 0 is a hexxprism so is finite in z. Mixing materials as a function of time

Is there a way (trans card or other) that would let me change material properties as a function of time, for example to simulate a boron letdown curve with time, or in 2D to simulate control rod insertion by mixing water and control rod as a function of time?

Yeah, I had thought about that - just wanted to avoid it. This is a TREAT model, and I am trying to homogenize the clad and air regions. I'll take a look and see how difficult that might be.
