Re: Generation of reflector constants

Hi Emil, Thank you a lot for your reply! I have tried to do as you suggest and now the results are much more consistent. I think I have understood my problem. With Helios the only way to directly obtain diffusion coefficients is to use the ratio dr/3/tr (as you said). This is actually what I have do...

Generation of reflector constants

Hello to everybody, I have generated few group cross sections with Serpent (version 2.1.26) for a typical PWR case and compared them with HELIOS deterministic code results. Using the B1 fundamental mode calculation, the relative errors between Serpent and HELIOS are much lower than with the infinite...

Re: Serpent on a cluster

Hello, I am trying to run Serpent 1.1.19 on a cluster but I get some problems. In particular I would like to run the calculation on two different nodes (4 slots each one) in parallel. I type: mpirun -np 8 --hostfile host sss assembly.inp where host is the file where I specify the nodes. The calculat...

I can confirm you that the problem was with Serpent 1.1.7. With Serpent 1.1.19 I don't get the error anymore.

Thank you very much,

Giorgio

Elastic Scattering error

Hello to everybody, I'm trying to run a burn-up calculation for a PWR assembly. After some burn-up step (I'm using a corrector step) I get this error: ElasticScattering: value xxx of parameter "Px" below lower limit -1.000000E-05 I understand that the error is in the function elasticscattering.c and...
