Burnup problem detector flux normalization?

Dear Experts of SERPENT, I am doing burnup analysis for a simple PWR fuel rod. I have a question on the result in ***_det0.m .... files. The magnitude of flux will be scaled automatically by setting of: set power xxxx set powdens xxx But according to the manual, it says the flux is normalized to lea...

Cross-section generation questions

Hi Jaakko, The scattering matrix generated by the detector is an "averaged" homogenized cross-section for the whole model, is that correct? e.g. INF_SCATT0, INF_SCATTP0 ... etc. Is there a way to generate material dependent macroscopic cross-section, including total, absorption, nu*fission, and P0, ...

I am not sure if it has something to do with that, but just provide the information for diagnostic.

burnup calculation problem

Hello I am trying to do a single 2D PWR fuel assembly model with ~200 nuclide tracing and about 40 time steps. It gives me the following error: - MPI task = 0 - OpenMP thread = 2 - RNG parent seed = 1528751737 - RNG history seed = 5450987530234881657 Fatal error in function TTALoop: Max length of TT...

Compliling problem with Mac OSX High Sierra

Hello Jaakko: I've been trying to compile the SERPENT 2.1.30 on Mac OSX Sierra. So far I can compile it with gcc-8 for the serial version of SERPENT. But when I try to compile the parallel version by activate the CC = mpicc in the Makefile, it always gives me this error: clang: error: unsupported op...
