Re: Unstructured Mesh Importer and MPI

Yes I assume the zero flux is due to the not enough histories simulated and the large number of energy groups used.

Thank you very much for the clarification and I am sorry for the late reply!

Re: Unstructured Mesh Importer and MPI

Good Day, I have another issue that started to appear when I use the following energy group structure: scale238 I am not generating cross sections right now, but just calculating the scalar flux spectrum, per unit lethargy, using a detector, for the above mentioned predefined energy groups structure...

Unstructured Mesh Importer and MPI

Good Day, I wanted to ask about generating the cross-sections with the Unstructured mesh option. Are there any constraints at the moment? E.g. Can I use MPI or OMP to parallelize the run while also generating the cross-sections? Are there any limitations/bugs at the moment concerning cross-sections ...

Re: No density outputed for -checkVolumes command

Ah sorry, thank you very much! I revised the -checkVolumes part on the wiki and I can see that this is the difference actually between both values as you said sir. I think I was interested in the density and why k-eff is not different and that is why I related this to density. But why is Serpent usi...

Re: No density outputed for -checkVolumes command

Yes I have a single cell inside an "inf" type surface, And also I tried another case with a cube of length 2m with reflective BCs, thus mimicking an infinite medium. In both cases, I have no density output (or N/A). Also, changing the density of the "mat" card inside the case does not have an effect...

No density outputed for -checkVolumes command

Hello everyone, I was trying an inf. medium (either an inf surface or a reflected boundary condition surface), to calculate some cross sections. However, when I ran the -checkVolumes command, I got the following: Volumes (2D problem, the values are in cm2) : Material fuel : 0.0000E+00 0.0000E+00 (0....

Re: Question about Cross-Sections Generation

Thank you very much Jaakko, I suspected as such since it was an old manual.

What about the second question and the third question, could you please answer them as well?

Re: Question about Cross-Sections Generation

Edited my questions in the first post for making it easier to follow my questions.

Thank you very much,
