Re: Clarification desired of providing energy group boundaries to the "ene" input card

Hi again, Just to confirm, how is the group boundaries provided to Serpent2 in the "ene" card when specifying them manually? Should one start from the fastest to the lowest energy (normal convention), or otherwise around? Or does it really matter, i.e., Serpent2 sorts them anyway regardless of order...

Spontaneous fission decay constants

Hi folks, It seems that spontaneous fission decay constants are simply set to the values of the radioactive decay constants when such data is not available. For example, in the [input]_mdx1b1.m file I get: 942390 9.11013E-13 8.39745E-13 6 3.10000E-12 0 % Pu-239 spontaneous fission 942390 9.11013E-13...

Clarification desired of providing energy group boundaries to the "ene" input card

Hi folks, It would be prudent if more specific information is given in the manual regarding the order of energy group boundaries that should be provided to the "ene" card. For example, one could write (if I have understood this correctly now): E_i : bin boundaries (type 1) , starting with the lower ...

Specifying "coef" card many times

Hi folks,

Is it possible to specify multiple "coef" cards in order to give some of the branch cases
a coarser burnup grid?

Cordially,
Petri

Re: Negative Homogeneous Flux when Generating ADF

Dear Luca, Generating DFs to SPn methods involved in-depth theoretical considerations. I suggest you take for example a look into the following paper by Yung-An Chao: Y. Chao, "A new and rigorous SPN theory for piecewise homogeneous regions," Annals of Nuclear Energy, 96 (2016) 112–125 Best regards,...

Re: Output parameters (list of what is missing)

Jaakko, It would be prudent to get the corresponding smeared isotopic number densities for those micro XSs one gets with the "set mdep" option, preferable together in the printouts. In many XS models of nodal core simulators, one substracts upfront the contribution from tracked isotopes from the mac...

Thanks Jaakko for your fast response and tip!

I will check the output file as soon as possible.

Re: Problem with moderator temperature branch to cold conditions

Thanks Ville for your fast response!

Ok, so the basic XS data has preference over the bound scattering data. Good to know, thanks!

Cordially,
Petri
