The substep method is not implemented for continuous reprocessing, 'BurnMaterialsMSR' (within 'burnmaterials.c' routine).

Reading the 'source.src' file should not be a problem if you correctly formatted it. Some notes: - The source format is <x> <y> <z> <u> <v> <w> <E> <wgt> <t>. If the directory and file permissions are not a problem. Check the input. - Which Serpent version are you running?
How did you define the source? (input: line 120) It seems that Serpent is unable to open the source file 'source.src'. How did you generate the source that Serpent is attempting to read?

You can check yourself: the Bateman equations solution either from TTA or CRAM/MatrixExponential is evaluated in ‘burnmaterials.c’ routine, 'N0'/'N', for both non-continuous reprocessing (BurnMaterials0) and continuous reprocessing (BurnMaterialsMSR) systems.
