Either you set an environment variable with the path of the XS file, see: Setting up the data libraries or define the absolute path through ‘ set acelib ’. The input setup seems to be OK - I even ran a quick single depletion step simulation without any errors.
Most likely, you are running out of memory (memory can be a bottleneck in burnup calculations).

Those warnings are OK. Try ./sss2 -version (or directly run a case).
If you some kind of problem, try recompiling the source: (1) make clean (2) make

What is the exact error message that Serpent is printing out (and when does it happen)? Which Serpent version are you running? Could you post here the full input?
