Re: depmtx output

You can check yourself: the Bateman equations solution either from TTA or CRAM/MatrixExponential is evaluated in ‘burnmaterials.c’ routine, 'N0'/'N', for both non-continuous reprocessing (BurnMaterials0) and continuous reprocessing (BurnMaterialsMSR) systems.

This link does not work http://montecarlo.vtt.fi/download/photon_data.zip
The 'photon_data' folder downloads from the link.

Re: photon physics in Serpent

No, you have to convert the MCNP-format '.xsdir' to the Serpent-format '.xsdata'. In the same directory you should have the mcplib63 and mcplib84 files (photon data libraries), plus the '.xsdir' file (i.e. xsdir-mcp5-1.51-new.txt, from the link), and the 'xsdirconvert.pl' perl script (the 'xsdirconv...

Re: photon physics in Serpent

Check the topic: viewtopic.php?f=26&t=1838, which provides the link of photon_data and additional photon data libraries from MCNP (mcnplib84 and mcnplib63) - as well as xsdir file (data is found under date 2012-01-06).

Re: depmtx output

Not necessarily - maybe setting up some additional print-out statements would help you identify what is going on.

Re: depmtx output

The topic is not going to provide much info anyway. Thinking about keeping certain compositions constant, might it be an option to adjust them between burnup steps (without changing the source - manual/automatic restart)?

Re: fatal error

Detectors provide flux/current or response/reaction rate estimates integrated over space, energy and direction (and time) domains. - Check Serpent units at Definitions, units and constants.

Re: fatal error

I re-ran the case only in neutron transport mode, with JEFF3.3 data ('.03c' - 293 K, '.06c' - 600 K and '.09c' 900 K) and TSL (be.00t and hh2o.00t - 294 K) downloaded from the OECD-NEA website: https://www.oecd-nea.org/dbdata/jeff/jeff33/index.html - without any problem! Note: the error comes from a...

Re: fatal error

Running the case trying to mimic what you have done, I don't obtain any error. From the '.out' file, for the beryllium 4009.03s, I got: 'Nuclide has inelastic S(a,b) channel between 1.00E-11 and 9.85E-06 MeV'. Note: from your previous post and the input, I ran it with the ENDF-B/VII.1 ('edep' versio...
