Re: Fission matrix

The only physically correct way to run the simulation is external source mode without any generation cut-off. Criticality source simulation assumes that the system is self-sustaining, which is not the case, and generation cut-off truncates the fission chains, which is also an unnecessary approximati...

Re: Deactivation of (n,xn) reactions in transmutation

Maybe 'set transmurea' option works for your purpose: where you can set the transmutation paths (including only the listed reactions).

Re: Fission Heating

You might want to check the new energy deposition modes, see ‘set edepmode’.

Re: Bug in PN scattering cross sections and diffusion parameters

For regions within the core, maybe the straight-forward action would be increasing the population size, and tuning the ratio of neutrons per generation and number of cycles. In low-density medium, you might have a high-rejection probability due to delta tracking mode. For a low-density medium you mi...

Re: Fission Heating

The card syntax allows to modify multiple nuclides, see ' set fissh '. It admits nuclides: 90 < Z < 110 (actinides). It refers to the energy deposited per fission which includes additional energy released in capture reactions when fission neutrons are absorbed. The nuclides have to include the react...

Re: Update 2.1.32

I tested on macOS and, I did not find any issue. But yes, post here with any finding.

Re: Update 2.1.32

There is a typo in creategeometry.c related to super-imposed universes. The bug is within the error-function call when those universes do not consist of cells. That affects super-imposed universes for group constant generation, including ADFs and albedos. This can be fixed by changing the following ...

What does the "new" error message say?

Re: Fatal Error in function InSuperCell

I have run some tests and, so far, I have not found any inconsistencies related to the super-imposed universes - either for use in detectors or group constant generation (obtaining identical results from physical/super-imposed universes - Serpent 2.1.32). Related to this topic, Serpent 2.1.32 links ...
