Hi Jaakko, no the error was still occurring with the new type 9 interface which was in 2.1.25.

I have been trying to recreate this error by changing the file back to how it was previously but have not manage to. Sorry I can't be of any help

Absolutely have no idea what I did but it works now. If you include usym you have to place the usym line after the interface card. All I can see that I changed was usym to universe zero and then removed the extra set sym line I had in there by mistake.

Hi Jaakko,

Was this resolved? I have changed the source code to warn instead of Die but the simulation is still aborted with this error message. Let me know if you want my input to help resolve this.

Hi All, I have input the data using method 9. I keep getting an "Index Error" in the geometry plotter. I have checked the source code and this is to do with defining colours of the materials, but these are all left undefined so I don't see why I am getting this error if you have any ideas. Hi All, Thanks for the responses. I can confirm that the splitting on hexa to tetra was very good (100.008% theoretical volume) which is much better than using tetra for cylinders. Hi Jakko, I have used the "solid 1 <u> <bg>" notation in Serpent for my mesh based geometry. I know in the bunny example you can get the VolPower out if you are using the multiphysics approach which you can then multiple to find the temperature in Kelvin for OpenFoam. With the irregular 3d geometries is there a way to output volPower or do you have to follow the multiphysics approach? I have a lot of volumes (maybe 300) and creating a ifc card for each will take a lot of time which is why I preferred the materials cards. If the irregular geometries method is also...
