### Axial ADF in Serpent 2.1.26

Dear Jaakko, I have used cuboid surface to produce axial and radial ADF for each FA in a full core calculation. What is the order used in DF_SURF_DF in this case? I have here 24 values associated with DF_SURF_DF which I know previously the order of the first 16 values (i.e. W1-W2-S1-S2-E1-E2-N1-N2),...

### Batch Interval for group constant data

Dear Jaakko, Is there a card that allows me to change the default batch interval from 20 cycles to a higher number of cycles? My idea is to improve statistical uncertainty in MacroXS generation without the need to increase the number of particles and not to lose the statistical uncertainty informati...

### Group-Wise Form Function

Dear Serpent Users,

Does anyone know what PPW_FF stands for? Is it group-wise form function? If not, what is then the group-wise form function in Serpent?

### Calculation of LAMBDA Total

Dear all, Does anyone know how the total lambda (first column) was calculated in ADJ_MEULEKAMP_LAMBDA? I tried to do it by hand by solving the equation: (Beff_total)/(Lambda_total) = Sum (Beta_i / Lambda_i) where i : 1 to 6 But the result did not correspond to the total lambda (first column) printed...

### Re: Net Surface Current for 1D problem

I found that all thermal fluxes point-wise values are negative. But the question is how such a fact affect the ADF generation which is my original goal? I believe what is important here to notice is having a positive integrated homogenous surface flux, which is used in ADF calculation. So, should no...

### Re: Net Surface Current for 1D problem

Thanks Jaakko for your explanation. What about the first point in my previous post: Do you have any idea why I am getting the warning message: "Negative values in the homogeneous flux solution" and by examing DF_HOM_SURF_FLUX in the output, I found that none of the universes contained a negative hom...

### Re: Net Surface Current for 1D problem

Here is what I found after using UFS method (throughout the following study, I used 100,000 particles per cycle, 500 cycles, and 200 inactive cycles): Note: UFS method is activated by using (set ufs <mode> <ex> <lat> <nz> <zmin> <zmax>) 0) For the sake of comparison, this case did not include UFS ca...

### Re: Net Surface Current for 1D problem

I found the problem. Previously I was using set pop 100,000 500 150 and then I increase it to set pop 1,000,000 500 150 The problem seems to be related to the number of scores particles reaching non-fissile universes. Which explains my issue here as I increase the number of particles per cycle, resu...
