I was able to run the input so the problem seems to be in your photon data. I used mcplib84 which is distributed with MCNP.

Based on the warnings there is probably something wrong with the photon production data you are using. The values that are printed are the highest values of cumulative distribution functions so they should be equal to one and not zero. If you can provide me the input, I can try to run it with differ...

The error message means that Serpent is not able to find photon interaction data from the ACE data that you have specified with set acelib card. In the example you linked there is a line set acelib "/xs/sss_jeff31u.xsdata" "mcnp5.xsdata". In this case mcnp5.xsdata contains the additional data needed...

Which Serpent version are you using? I'm asking this because the latest Serpent version prints a slightly different error message. Based on the error message it seems that Serpent is able to locate the cross section directory file but in that file the paths to ACE files are incorrect. How does your ...

First of all, -4 is used only for neutrons to calculate the energy deposition using KERMA coefficients and -10 gives the energy deposition in ONLY elastic and inelastic scattering. For gammas, you have two choices -26 or -12. -26 uses KERMAs and -12 gives an analog estimate for the energy deposition...
