Re: Gamma detectors and flux to dose

Serpent allows using user-defined response functions with reaction identifier -100: dr -100 <int> <np> <E1> <f1> <E2> <f2> ... where <int> is the interpolation type used between the points (1 = histogram, 2 = lin-lin, 3 = lin-log, 4 = log-lin, 5 = log-log), <np> is the number of points and <En> <fn...

Re: Gamma detectors and flux to dose

Which of the ENDF reaction rates ( http://serpent.vtt.fi/mediawiki/index.php/ENDF_reaction_MT's_and_macroscopic_reaction_numbers ) would be equivalent to typical dose rate counters carried/used at facilities? or is this a better conversion table (ICRP 21), taken from the manual of another code.. : d...

Re: Gamma detectors and flux to dose

Thanks! Since correct cell volumes are important: If I use a negative universe for a detector, does mcvol also include such cells? I know that it doesnt calculate negative universe volumes when using checkvolumes. Thanks, Peter EDIT: Sorry it does indeed calculate negative universes... In radioactiv...

Re: missing cross section

Thanks Ville for a quick and good answer! I just learned something :) Jay! Ill use Janis to check this in the future... =) Peter Hi Peter, that's right. ENDF7 does not contain evaluated neutron cross section for oxygen 18. You can include it as a decay isotope (isotope without cross sections) if you...

Re: New mesh plotter capabilities

A nice feature would be if one could overlay the geometry on top of the mesh (and choose level of transparency / cell contours etc.).

VR environment together with mesh tally visualization :)

As topic, how cool wouldn't that be? :D

Re: burnup -> use as source

[quote="Jaakko Leppänen"]The use of bumat files have several unresolved issues. I recommend use the "set rfw" / "set rfr" features instead:

Thanks, fixed it!

missing cross section

Hi! No questions are dumb :) I would like to simulate some oxygen in a burn up calculation: 8016.70c 0.3930911962 8017.70c 0.0001674657 8018.70c 0.000886583 My problem is that 8018.70c doesn't exist in my library - Does this mean that there is no evaluated cross section from ENDF 7 for oxygen 18? Wh...
