Unexpected Behavior of Axial Power Distribution

Dear Jaakko,

I have encountered an unexpected behaviour of axial power distribution when I used the card "set cpd"

The syntax was:
set cpd 2 200 -100 100

What I found is the following:
- The 2D pin power distribution is realistic and makes sense. However, the 3D pin power distribution results in non-realistic values (I attached part of _core0.m file below for your reference; Sorry for that I could not upload the whole file).
For example, check-out pin no. 20, the power should be zero there and should not be printed but in the axial power distribution, it appearers with some power value. For the 2D power distribution case, pin no. 20 does not appear there which make since pin no. 20 has no fissile material.

If I recall correctly, the first index of the axial distribution is the pin number.

In the attached file, you only show pin 1 and partial of pin 2. If I add up all of the axial nodes, then I get a power equal to the power in lvl0 for pin 1.

It is interesting that the distribution is flat, however. Do you have leakage at the top and bottom of your assembly?

Can you put the axial output for pin 20?

Hi Jesse,

What you said is exactly correct, I misunderstood the indices. I thought the outer loop for printing power distribution corresponds to axial layers, but it appeared to be for pin numbers.

I do not have axial leakages since I am using a reflective boundary condition through all faces (i.e. set bc 2 2 2), which explains why I do have almost flat power distribution.

After I had understood the meaning of indices, pin 20 does not exist in the output file since it is a non-fissile rod (no power produced) and "set cpd" card only print those rods with power > 0
