Nuclides names in "set ures"

Post by emilf » Thu Jun 01, 2017 12:38 pm

Consider 2 input options:

Code: Select all

set ures 1 92238.09c %Option 1
set ures 1 U-238.09c %Option 2
For option 1: - Nuclide uses ures ptable data
For option 2: - Nuclide has ures ptable data but it is not used

Note that: U-238.09c was used in material definition. Probably this is not really a bug but can lead to some misunderstanding...

Serpent uses two text strings to identify nuclides: name and alias. Alias is the identifier defined in the xsdir directory file and used in material definitions, while name is the actual name defined in the ACE data. It seems that the ures command looks for the name, which may be different from the alias used in material definitions.

I'll see if there's an easy fix.
