Do you have extensive experience as a physicist in a high-tech environment? If so, apply to work at NRG as a:

What will you do:
- Conduct often complex neutronics analyses in close contact with internal and external customers. Examples are:
- Nuclear safety analyses for irradiations in the High Flux Reactor
- Pre and Post irradiation calculations for irradiation projects
- Isotope yield calculations
- Inventory calculations
- Shielding analyses
- Take overall responsibility for projects
- Broaden and deepening the knowledge and quality of the team
- Develop new research and innovation proposals supporting the company and team strategy
- Contribute to the team strategy within your area(s) of expertise
- Develop and maintain contacts with clients

You have:
- An academic degree
- Technical background in neutronics and reactor physics
- Preferably 4 – 8 years of experience with neutronics (MCNP or SERPENT) and reactor physics methods
- Proven experience with project management
- Preferably proven experience with maintaining contacts with clients
- An international network within your area(s) of expertise

NRG has formed a new Research & Innovation unit in which all current research activities take place. Within this unit NRG will start a brand new innovation program. The focus of the unit will be on new developments for nuclear energy and technology applications, and on the improvement of nuclear medicine and isotope production. On top of that R&I maintains the nuclear knowledge base of NRG, which is fundamental to NRG’s current and future business.

This new unit of approximately 40 FTE has a program development team, a Safety & Waste team, Materials & Fuel qualification team, Isotopes & Development department. Neutronics expertise can be found within the Safety & Waste team.
