Decay calculations

Post by ianyounker » Thu May 29, 2014 5:58 pm

I am running calculations for activity and decay heat for 10 years after life in the reactor. I have an issue with my matlab results file. I cannot run the file in matlab because the value for rea_sampling_eff is -NAN. How can I eliminate NAN and have a value so matlab can run and I can gather my data?

The easiest way is to open the file in a text editor and replace NAN's with zeros. Or you can try using the Linux command line tool: replace "NAN" "0.0" -- file_res.m

Another option is simply to define a variable within MATLAB:

NAN = 0;

and then load the results file. There is no need to edit results prior to import.
