Everything works perfectly. My issue now is how to get the decay heat from gamma using "dr -12" from the decay processes using the detector. It scored zeros when I wanted to get dr -12.

Another thing is that my fuel has been already burnt and it has all the fission products, actinides ..etc. The question is, do I have to re-burn my fuel again with "set rfw" then I can read the restart file again with rfr? or is there a way to consider the inventory without doing the calculation again?

If your "dr -12" scores only zeros, I'm guessing you aren't transporting any photons.

If you have material compositions containing the burnt up compositions you can probably do a single very short burnup step using those compositions with "set rfw" to get the compositions written in a restart file.

Thank you Ville, that solved my problem.

There is something I might haven't understood it which is the decay heat results after using rfw and then rfr. It seems that when I increase the power or time to create a binary file, the decay heat increases significantly. Well, that is reasonable but with my fuels inventory in the reactor of 50-10% BU and lots of isotopes as following (this is one node of 259 nodes):

Now the question is, when should I say this is the decay heat at some point? and the unit as I understood is in Joule so, if I want it to Watt I have to divide it by the simulation time and should I use the following equation or just the transport time?
(number of omp)*(total running time) or the (Transport cycle completed in 5.15 minutes) the 5.15 min?.

If you run a short depletion calculation with "set rfw" as you are now doing, the nuclide concentrations (especially the short-lived ones) will change depending on the power level you use in the depletion calculation.

This will then be reflected in the activity of the spent fuel and thus the photon production.

You should probably do the short depletion calculation with the same power level that you used to produce the compositions in the first place.

I think the decay source mode gets its normalization (source particles per second) directly from the material compositions and the results should thus already be in Watts.
