Issue with photon transport calculations

Post by Aurelien_Dudognon » Thu Dec 20, 2018 1:37 pm

Hi!

I'm trying to run some photon transport calculations (really simple cases) with MCNP photon library mcplib84. I can't fix this issue :

Reading ACE directory files...
OK.

Adding nuclides in material eau...

Element 1000.84p -- hydrogen (photon library)
Element 8000.84p -- oxygen (photon library)

Adding nuclides in material air...

Element 7000.84p -- nitrogen (photon library)

Checking data and printing output...
OK.

Generating unionize energy grids...

Adding points:

1000.84p -- Points added in photon grid: 278
7000.84p -- Points added in photon grid: 269
8000.84p -- Points added in photon grid: 192

Only photon grid generated:

- Final photon grid size: 5648 points.

- 132.40 kb of memory allocated for grid data

OK.

Processing cross sections and ENDF reaction laws...

Segmentation fault (core dumped)

I'm using Version 2.1.30.

Thanks a lot
Aurelien

This may be related to a bug discovered earlier:

Hi Jaakko!

Thanks a lot,it fixed some problems. Now the error is way more explicit : "Can't find Z=1 in photoelectric data file: PATH/xspe.dat"

I think it's related with this post : viewtopic.php?f=25&t=2927&p=8752&hilit= ... 9689#p8752
The thing is I can't open the link https://vtt.sharefile.eu/d-sc86e6b7253646fea

Do you have another temporary solution?

Thanks a lot :)

I updated the link for photon data:
