Hi Riku,
Thanks again for sharing the library!
One isotope (Th-232) has an inconsistency in the new Kerma data:

Code: Select all

Fatal error in function ReadPendfData:

Mismatch in lowest energy of ACE and KERMA datas for nuclide 90232.09c (mt=3319)
ACE: 9.99999999999999939497E-12 KERMA: 3.98999100000000002375E-03
It showed up when loading the actinides for a burnup calculation so it blocks all non-fresh fuel calculations.
I repeated the issue when trying to model a Th-232 fuel. Only this isotope is missing so I believe it's not intentional.
Is there an easy workaround, or do you need to regenerate the ACE files for Th232?

Thanks and regards,
Nicolas

Actually I found a thread where this issue has already been reported with the solution (source code removed in readpendfdata.c:)
lines 419-422:

Code: Select all

else
Die(FUNCTION_NAME, "Mismatch in lowest energy of ACE and KERMA datas "
"for nuclide %s (mt=%ld) \nACE: %.20E KERMA: %.20E",
GetText(nuc + NUCLIDE_PTR_NAME), mt, E[0], E0[0]);
and
lines 426-429:

Code: Select all

else
Die(FUNCTION_NAME, "Mismatch in highest energy of ACE and KERMA datas "
"for nuclide %s (mt=%ld) \nACE: %.20E KERMA: %.20E",
GetText(nuc + NUCLIDE_PTR_NAME), mt, E[NES - 1], E0[np - 1]);

Hi Nicolas,

yeah that is a bug and removing the lines you mentioned should fix it. It seems that the fission KERMA coming from NJOY is not necessarily on the same energy grid as the ACE data and this was not taken into account in the original implementation.

Could I get please access to the ENDFB71 ACE files with KERMA data, please?

Thanks

Dear Riku,

May I please have a new link for the KERMA data?

Thank you!
