Zirconium Hydride

Post by orca.blu » Mon Sep 19, 2011 12:10 pm

Hi,

does anyone have thermal scattering data for zirconium hydride, ready to use in serpent
or can explain the way to generate them (the dummy way, please) with NJOY, I guess.

Even a link to look at would be great!

Thank youuuu

Sorry... “classical” Zirconium Hydride, ZrHx with x around 2...

Hello,

If you are not familiar with NJOY, I quess the easiest way to get the thermal scattering libraries for ZrH is straight from the NEA Data Bank. It provides many different libraries meant for MCNP, but Serpent uses the same ACE cross section format.

For example this package should do the trick in case of H bound in ZrH:

http://www.oecd-nea.org/tools/abstract/detail/nea-1768

The ENDF/B-VII library should also contain the Zr in ZrH thermal scattering data (if you find it necessary).

Ciao Tuomas,

Data for H only should be sufficient.

Thank you!
