Installing Endfb-7 libraries

Post by Sebastian Raub » Mon Nov 08, 2010 10:38 am

I'm trying to produce Serpent Output with 6 precursor-groups (compatibility issiues with the follow-up Software). To this end I unzipped the the provided Endf7-archive in my Home-folder (/home/sebastian/xs) and ran the provided script .

This keeps telling me: 'ACE file "/xs/endfb7/data/90227_1800K.ace" does not exist.' and
'lwe6.00t: ACE file "/xs/endfb7/data/sssth1" does not exist.'

The error-message is repeated for every isotope

This is the case although I placed the libraries at exactly the relative path it seems to be searching. (/home/sebastian/xs/endfb7/data/). I can't put at the absolute path because I don't have root-rights in this machine. I also tried palcing the script in the same folder as the ace-archives and sss_endb7.xsdir as the script seemed to indicate that it looks for the archives in its own folder by default but no dice.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

The installation path is determined in the MCNP xsdir file. The first thing you should do when you install new libraries is to edit the first line in the xsdir file. At the moment you probably have:

If you change that into

the the installation script should look for the files in the right place.
