I run a 64-bit Windows. My laptop uses Windows 7 and tower, i think is Windows 10.

I am so ignorant. I tried the Cygwin path and got stuck. I need step-by-step help. I did download the most recent Serpent 2 update.

Hi,

we haven't tried compiling Serpent in a Windows environment, but a possible path for new Windows 10 versions might be to use the Windows Subsystem for Linux, which makes it possible to install some kind of a virtual linux operating system inside the Windows 10 machine.

I would imagine that it might be even easier than the Cygwin path, but cannot give any further instructions as I've never tried it.
