Plotting in Serpent 2

Post by r.aldred » Mon Nov 18, 2019 6:46 pm

I have recently compiled Serpent 2 and have been following the introductory tutorial on the wiki to plot the 2D pin-cell. However when I run 'sss2 -plot pin', nothing is plotted and Serpent instead launches into calculations.

I have compiled Serpent using gcc version 4.4.7 and the -DNO_GFX_MODE flag (as the GD graphics library is not available). The header information states that "- Geometry and mesh plotting available".

Please can you give some guidance regarding why the plotting option is not working?

The plotting option is probably not working because the -DNO_GFX_MODE flag disables it. You may get the message that the option is still available if the source code is not fully compiled. Whenever you make changes in the Makefile, you should do a "make clean" before "make".
