Forcing OpenMPI to use GCC instead of ICC

Post by Andrei Fokau » Wed Jul 28, 2010 8:11 pm

Hello,
If during compilation of Serpent you get a lot of warnings (some of them start with "icc:", meaning Intel C Compiler) and the process eventually fails, then use the following command to compile with MPI by GCC

Code: Select all

$ make clean && OMPI_CC=gcc  make
There may be the following error message at the end

Code: Select all

/opt/intel/fce/9.1.036/lib/libimf.so: warning: warning: feupdateenv is not implemented and will always fail
which you don't need to be afraid of.
