Mixing materials as a function of time

Post by markdehart » Thu Oct 12, 2017 1:14 am

Is there a way (trans card or other) that would let me change material properties as a function of time, for example to simulate a boron letdown curve with time, or in 2D to simulate control rod insertion by mixing water and control rod as a function of time?

Hi Mark,

there is currently no way to apply time-dependent material composition changes in transient simulations. We have ideas on how to implement such a thing for, e.g. boron dilution transients, but haven't started working on it yet.
