How to obtain thermal scattering data for ZrH

Post by rdegatchalian » Tue May 18, 2021 2:43 am

Hello colleagues,

I would like to know how to obtain thermal scattering library for ZrH. Upon checking Serpent package it only contains data of H20, D20, and graphite.

Thank you.

Regards,
Ronald

Hi,

You can directly check the different international nuclear data libraries such as JEFF and ENDF/B. Here are some links for JEFF-3.3 and ENDF/B-VIII:

https://www.oecd-nea.org/dbdata/jeff/jeff33/tsl.html
https://nucleardata.lanl.gov/ACE/Production/Lib80x.html

Note that you will need thermal scattering data that is consistent with the base scattering cross section in your cross section libraries. E.g. if you are using JEFF-3.1.1 for your calculation, you would need thermal scattering data for JEFF-3.1.1 (and not JEFF-3.3) etc.
